Kalostous!!

Kalostous, is the Greek equivalent to welcome and a word Greeks use to warmly welcome all who visit their homes.

So to all of you we say Kalostous

1999 Dimitri’s was established on the Hellenic philosophy of good food, good wine, and good friends.

Along with the authentic Greek wines we have strived to bring the flavors, aromas, and hospitality of the Greek Isles to Southern Maine.

While complimenting the originals by recreating every recipe to it’s truest form, we strive to expose our heritage and culture to the people of Maine.

Whether you enjoy traditional dish or you would like to experience some of the local fare of seafood, or steak with a touch of Greek flair, our wood burning oven, and grill will engulf them with the old world flavors of the Aegean.

What can be better than enjoying a glass of Retsina on a warm summer evening while watching the sun set from a dining table on our deck, or the ending of long, lazy, comfortable dinner with friends (some old, some new) as stories are being told over a glass of Mavrodaphni, while letting the aromas of our open kitchen transform you to a seaside Taverna on the Mediterranean.
